Image-Line has released VSTi versions of sample slicing tool Slicex. Slicex uses advanced beat detection algorithms to slice song/percussion samples into pieces and make them independently playable from the Piano roll or controller.

DirectWave is an inline multi-layer multi-timbral sampler, capable of playing and recording samples through real input sampling. All parameters and effects may be automated or modulated through a 16-slot modulation matrix.

bug fixes
- overwrite existing wave files when sampling a vst (but only .wav files)
- make sure the samplerate is sent to the plugin before processing a vst plugin
- DW no longer steals keyboard focus, except for edit controls
- loading a DWB file now tries to load a sample from file if it's not in the DWB
- DWB files now save a reference to the file instead of the sample data when total recall is off
- fixed acm import - sample length wasn't adjusted after conversion (was sometimes less than predicted)
- fixed mouse position inaccuracy for pitch bend and mod sliders (multi tab)
- prevent crash when previewing samples in some cases
- time stretch knobs are now also automatable
- fixed crash when showing long program names in progress
- fixed stack corruption around filename buffer when loading downloader dll
- fixed crash when cancelling "Browse" window in browser
- fixed loading wave files by absolute filename
- avoid "no disk in drive" error message when loading samples
- fixed event handling for hosted VST plugin, it used a fixed size event buffer
- fixed browser update after using "Browse" button
- fixed PeekMessage loop on dll unload, to prevent crash in Podium

Sawer is a vintage modeling synthesizer, that cuts through the mix to deliver precisely articulated and punchy sounds.

Sawer pays homage to the envelopes and filters of a rare 1980's Soviet analog synthesizer, Polivoks. Maxx has devoted meticulous attention to the detail of Sawer's filter and envelope designs, ensuring Sawer delivers a unique sonic character reminiscent of the Polivoks hardware. But Polivoks, like all analog synthesizers, wasn't without its problems. Keeping the oscillators stable and in tune has been likened to 'moving a pile of live frogs, by wheelbarrow', impossible! As Sawer is algorithmic, this solves the problems of tuning and stability, however, in the same way electrical component instability makes analog gear unique (if not cranky), Sawer benefits from the 21st century equivalent, a coding error.

a learning curve that hinders your creativity.The concept behind PoiZone was to design a synthesizer
that had the smallest number of controls while providing the maximum flexibility and features.

-2 oscillators that can produce the two most popular and useful shapes for subtractive synthesis:
fat, bright Saw and Pulse shapes, with adjustable pulse width.
