The Vibe loop series was created to bring more “Vibe” to your tracks. None of the loops found in this series are “traditional” acoustic drum loops. Down Tempo Grooves (DOD Vol. 15) was inspired by both a sound and playing technique. The playing approach is minimalistic. Simple fills and grooves at tempos between 40-105 BPM. This approach gives the user a great deal of space to play with and room for the sounds to develop and “speak.” Down-tempo grooves features a very soft playing style. Massive amounts of tape compression were used to “gain” the drums back up to a normal volume. The end result are drum tracks that have an “in your face wet punch” with the sound of smooth tape compression. A kick drum with great low end makes these loops a perfect match for Soul, RnB, Hip Hop, Pop Ballads, Retro, etc. You’ll love the sound and find a ton of uses for “Down-tempo Grooves.”
